A picture book starring your family.
Make an illustrated picture book starring your child and everyone they love: brothers and sisters, parents, grandparents, even the dog. You choose the story and shape every line. We paint it in watercolour and gouache, and write it for your child’s age, to the month.
Push, Push, Turn
A sample book, made for Arjun at 4
- Arjun
- himself
- Fateh
- his big brother
- Dadi
- Dadi, and her parathas
Arjun, Fateh and Dadi are made-up people, and these are their character sheets. Everyone in your book gets one like theirs, painted from your photo and checked against it.
How a book gets made
CastingBring your people
Upload a photo of each person who belongs in the story. We paint each one as a character in our house style, and check every portrait against its photo, so your child looks like your child on every page.

Arjun’s character sheet: one character in four poses. Yours are painted from one photo each. What they loveTap, don’t type
The bus, the moon, Nani’s garden, the garbage truck that comes on Tuesdays. Tap what fits your child; there’s no blank page to fill.
The storyFive to choose from
We write five storylines for your child. Use one as it is, ask for changes (“give Dadi a bigger part”, “make it calmer for bedtime”), or bring your own idea.
The read-throughYour final say
Read every page. Change any word. Repaint any picture. When it’s right, keep it as an ebook with a print-at-home booklet, or have it printed and bound as a hardcover.

So we wrote him
Push, Push, Turn
On a slow Sunday morning, Arjun wants to make a paratha all by himself, just like Dadi’s. With Fateh’s rolling tips and Dadi’s warm kitchen, he makes a whole plate, one for everybody.
A page from Arjun’s book
Push, Push, Turn was made for Arjun at 4, with Fateh and Dadi in it. Watercolour and gouache with ink lines, and the words in the type the book is printed in.
Dadi gave him the rolling pin. "Roll it round, Arjun." Arjun rolled and rolled, but the dough wiggled away in a long, wobbly sausage.

Questions
Is it really free to start?
Yes. The story, the characters, the cover and two finished sample pages cost nothing, and you don't need a card. You pay only when you want the whole book: the ebook (CA$19.99) or a printed hardcover (CA$74.99, shipping included).
Do you use AI?
Yes, and we'd rather tell you plainly. AI helps us draft the storylines and paint the pictures in our watercolour-and-gouache house style. Around that we've built strict checks: we compare each character with its photo, and every page is screened for unsafe or impossible poses. You choose the story, change any word and repaint any page, and nothing is printed until you approve it. Every book says “Illustrated with the help of AI” on its last page.
What happens to my photos?
We use your photos for one thing: painting your family's characters. We never sell them, never use them for advertising, and never use them to train AI. Original photos are deleted automatically 7 days after your book is finished or ordered, or 30 days after you last worked on an unfinished draft, and you can delete them sooner at any time from your account. The details are in AI and your photos and our Privacy Policy.
What photos work best?
A clear, well-lit photo of each person facing the camera, ideally with nobody else in the frame. Daylight from a window is ideal. We'll tell you straight away if a photo is too dark or blurry to use.
Can I include grandparents, siblings and pets?
Yes. Add brothers, sisters, parents and grandparents from photos, and the dog too. You choose what your child calls each person, so Dadi stays Dadi on every page.
Where do you ship, and how long does it take?
Hardcovers go to Canada and the United States, and shipping is included in the price. Copies for the US are printed in the US, so there are no duties to pay. Most arrive 7–14 days after you order, and you'll get a tracking link as soon as yours ships. We can't ship to Quebec yet, while we prepare French versions of our terms and checkout.
Can I change my mind about a hardcover?
Yes, for 24 hours. A hardcover goes to the printer 24 hours after you pay; until then you can change any page, or cancel it from your order page for a full refund. Once it's printing it's being made just for you, but if it arrives damaged or misprinted we'll reprint it or refund you. See our refund and reprint policy.
Can the story be about Diwali, Vaisakhi, Eid, Christmas or Gurpurab?
Yes. Pick an occasion, or leave it as an ordinary day. You can also bring your own idea and we'll shape it into a story around your family.
